The project aims to promote the integration of the democratic education approach in European education systems as a way of fostering life and citizenship competences in schools.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DESC has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of 10 partners in 5 countries, including democratic schools, state schools, state school networks and universities. These are: GO! Scholengroep and Omnimundo (Belgium) and QUEST (Quality Education in Europe for Sustainable Social Transformation) Leiutajate K\u00fclakool and Varstu School (Estonia), OU &#8220;N.Y.Vaptsarov&#8221; Selanovtsi and Community for Democratic Education (Bulgaria), Istituto Comprensivo Carducci di Busca, Albero della Tuscia (Italy) University of La Laguna (Spain).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To achieve this goal, the DESC project is divided into four main project outcomes: <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PR1 Research report; <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PR2 Teacher training; <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PR3 PLATFORM <br \/>PR3 DESC TRAINING; <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PR4 Guidelines and policy recommendations.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This guide responds to PR4.1, based on the qualitative analysis of partner institutions&#8217; responses to two interviews on national policies and vision on democratic education.
